Managing a Conservation Area means protecting it from human-introduced problems, such as invasive species or pollutants, with the goal of keeping an oasis where the beauty of nature can survive, and people can hike, walk their dog, cross country ski or just relax and enjoy a beautiful day. These are the activities that people do in Wildcat today. These are the activities that our Conservation Commission has protected.

Safety in Boxford's Forests and Conservation Areas
The topic of safety was raised during discussions about possibly initiating a logging operation in the Wildcat Conservation Area. If you are interested in joining other citizens to explore this topic, please use the Contact link at the bottom of this page and let us know. We could startup a conversation with our Fire Chief and other Boxford safety officials, to make sure that their top priorities are discussed and supported.
